Zhengzhou

Zhengzhou is the capital of Henan province and one of China's most important railway junctions, sitting near the Yellow River in the densely populated heart of the country. With a metropolitan population of around 12 million, it is a fast-growing industrial and logistics center in one of China's most historically significant regions. The climate is a temperate monsoon one, with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. Its greatest draw is the world-famous Shaolin Temple and Mount Song in nearby Dengfeng, alongside the Yellow River Scenic Area, the Erqi Memorial Tower, and the rich collections of the Henan Museum.
