Bank of China (中国银行) is the best for currency exchange — official rates, transparent fees. Available at major airports and cities. Keep your receipt.
Available at all international airports. Convenient but with slightly higher commissions. Good for small amounts on arrival.
In major tourist areas (Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou) you'll find licensed exchange shops. Look for the sign "外汇兑换" (currency exchange).
Bank of China and ICBC ATMs accept foreign cards. Limit is usually ¥2,500–3,000/day. Best for smaller amounts with reasonable fees.
Many large hotels offer currency exchange for guests. Rates are acceptable but usually higher than banks.
