📖 About the company
Wuling traces its roots to a machinery factory founded in Liuzhou in 1958, gradually shifting to small vehicles before the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture formed in 2002 between SAIC, General Motors and Guangxi Automobile. Historically known for cheap mini-vans, Wuling revolutionised the micro-EV market with the 2020 Hongguang Mini EV, briefly the world's best-selling EV thanks to its rock-bottom price. It has since expanded into larger EVs like the Bingo and Xingguang to meet growing demand for affordable urban cars. Wuling products are also exported to Indonesia and other Asian markets under the Wuling Motors banner.
