📖 About the company
Fangchengbao (literally Formula Leopard) is BYD's personalised off-road and lifestyle brand launched in June 2023. Its first model, the Bao 5, is a rugged plug-in hybrid 4x4 on the dedicated DMO platform with a battery-integrated ladder chassis. The brand targets young adventure-minded buyers and competes directly with GWM's Tank. The range has since grown with the six-seat flagship Bao 8 and the compact Tai 3.
