📖 About the university

Zhejiang Financial College is a full-time public higher-vocational college sponsored by the Zhejiang provincial government and located in Hangzhou, the provincial capital. Its predecessor was the Zhejiang Finance and Banking School founded in 1975, which split into the Zhejiang Banking School and the Zhejiang Finance School in 1978, and in 2002 the modern college was formally established with the approval of the provincial government and the Ministry of Education. It is one of the first-batch national demonstrative higher-vocational colleges and a key provincial vocational institution, and it is organised into around eleven secondary colleges, among them the Schools of Financial Management, Investment and Insurance, Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, Information Technology, and Humanities and Arts. As a finance-oriented college, it is nationally recognised for its programmes in banking and financial management, investment and insurance, accounting and international trade, and it maintains close ties with banks and financial institutions across Zhejiang. It enrols a large body of students preparing for careers in the financial and business-services sector. As an applied vocational college it enrols primarily domestic students and does not currently advertise a dedicated Chinese-language pathway for international applicants.
