📖 About the university

The Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) in Beijing, founded in 1950, is China's foremost music conservatory and the only one designated a national 'Double First-Class' and former '211 Project' institution. It offers the full range of Western and Chinese music education — piano, strings, wind and percussion, voice and opera, conducting, composition, musicology and traditional Chinese instruments. Many of China's leading performers, composers and music educators are among its alumni and faculty. Located in Xicheng in central Beijing, it maintains close ties with the nation's top orchestras and concert halls. CCOM is the most prestigious destination in China for international students seeking a conservatory-level music education.
