📖 About the university
West Yunnan University of Applied Sciences is a public applied-technology university headquartered in Dali, western Yunnan province, established in 2015 with support from the Ministry of Education and the Yunnan provincial government. It follows a distinctive model built around specialized industry colleges spread across western Yunnan, including a tea college in Pu'er, a jewelry college in Tengchong and a tourism-and-culture college in Lijiang. The university focuses on applied talent for regional industries such as tourism, health services, tea and characteristic agriculture. It is one of China's newer institutions dedicated to vocationally oriented undergraduate education.
