📖 About the university

Zhengzhou Technology and Business University is a full-time private undergraduate university in Henan Province, with its main campus in the Zhengdong New District of Zhengzhou and a second campus in Lankao County near Kaifeng. It was founded in 2002 as the Wanfang College of Science and Technology attached to the then Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, was renamed the Wanfang College of Henan Polytechnic University in 2004, and in April 2016 was approved by the Ministry of Education to convert into an independently run university under its present name. It is one of the largest private universities of its type in Henan, comprising around twelve teaching units such as the schools of engineering, information engineering, business, finance and taxation, humanities and law, and arts. The university offers thirty-nine undergraduate programmes and enrolls more than thirty thousand students, with popular majors including mechanical design and automation, accounting, civil engineering, and electrical engineering and automation. Its orientation is applied and vocational, aimed at supplying skilled engineering, business and information-technology graduates to the fast-growing central Chinese economy around Zhengzhou.
