Dali University, founded in 1978, is a comprehensive university in the scenic Bai-ethnic city of Dali in Yunnan, set between Erhai Lake and the Cangshan Mountains. It is a multi-disciplinary institution combining medicine, sciences, agriculture, humanities, engineering and ethnic culture, and it is noted for clinical medicine and for research into the rich biodiversity and Bai and other ethnic cultures of western Yunnan. Its beautiful lakeside campus attracts a large number of international students, particularly from South and Southeast Asia, into its English-taught medical programme.
