📖 About the university
Gratia Christian College is a private Christian higher education institution in Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon, established in 2015 by Dr Chui Hong-sheung, a former head of the Hang Seng School of Commerce, and registered under Hong Kong's Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance as an approved degree-granting institution in July of that year. It is a comparatively young and small college, enrolling around 500 students as of 2024, supported by roughly 30 academic staff, which allows for close staff-student relationships uncommon at larger universities. The college is organised into six schools, covering Business, Psychology and Counselling, Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Christian Ministry, and General Education, and it offers a mix of Bachelor's degrees with honours, higher diplomas, and other sub-degree qualifications. Its named degree programmes include Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Service Marketing and Management, Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), and Bachelor of Social Work (Honours), reflecting a focus on people-centred professional fields. As an explicitly Christian institution, Gratia integrates faith formation and pastoral care alongside academic study, distinguishing it from Hong Kong's larger secular private colleges. It is best suited to students seeking a small, faith-based college with personalised attention and professional training in business, psychology, social work, or early childhood education.

🌆 About Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region on the southern coast of China and one of the world's leading financial, trading, and logistics hubs, where Cantonese Chinese culture blends seamlessly with a British-influenced international outlook. Built around one of the finest deep-water harbours in the world, the territory packs a dramatic skyline of skyscrapers against steep green mountains and outlying islands, with Victoria Harbour at its heart. Its climate is humid subtropical, bringing hot, humid summers with occasional typhoons and mild, dry winters. English and Chinese are both official languages, and the city is famous for its efficient MTR metro, double-decker trams and buses, and Hong Kong International Airport, one of the busiest in the world. Everyday life mixes Michelin-starred dining and dim sum teahouses with street markets, temples, hiking trails, and beaches, all within easy reach. For an international student, Hong Kong offers a concentration of world-ranked universities, a genuinely global environment, and easy travel across Asia, though living costs and rents are among the highest in the region.
