📖 About the university

Guizhou Institute of Technology is a public undergraduate university located in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province, and sponsored by the Guizhou provincial government. It was founded in July 2011 and officially approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2013, making it one of the province's newer engineering-focused institutions. The institute is a provincial full-time engineering university that also fosters coordinated development across science and management disciplines. It operates two campuses: the Caijiaguan campus on the shore of Aha Lake in southwestern Guiyang and a campus in the university town of Gui'an New District. Its schools cover fields such as mining engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical and information engineering, and chemical engineering, with particular strengths in mining and materials engineering that support Guizhou's resource and manufacturing industries. Guizhou Institute of Technology admits international students and provides Chinese-language study for those learning in China.
