📖 About the university

Liuzhou Institute of Technology is a private full-time undergraduate institution in Yufeng district of Liuzhou, the industrial capital of Guangxi and one of China's major automobile-manufacturing cities. It was created in 2002 as the Lushan College of the Guangxi Institute of Technology, jointly run by the Liuzhou city government and that university, renamed with the parent to Lushan College of Guangxi University of Science and Technology in 2013, and on 9 April 2020 approved by the Ministry of Education to convert into a free-standing private undergraduate school under the present name, wholly held by Liuzhou's Dongcheng investment and development group. The campus of 1,283 mu across south and north sites represents over 1.3 billion yuan of investment, with nearly 170 practice-teaching platforms including a metalworking training centre and simulation laboratories, and a library of about 1.85 million printed volumes. More than 16,000 undergraduates study 47 bachelor programmes taught through eight schools — mechanical, automotive, civil and architectural, information science, economics and management, design and art, languages and international education, and food and chemical engineering. The fit with Liuzhou's automotive and machinery industries is deliberate and close. Teaching is in Chinese and enrolment is domestic.
