The People's Public Security University of China (PPSUC) in Beijing, founded in 1948, is the country's foremost university for policing and public-security education, directly under the Ministry of Public Security. It trains senior police officers and specialists in policing, criminal investigation, forensic science, traffic management, cyber-security and security law. Often called the 'cradle of China's police', it combines academic study with professional police training. Its Beijing campuses sit at the heart of the national security apparatus. PPSUC also hosts international police-training exchanges and students from partner countries interested in public-security studies.
