📖 About the university

Henan Polytechnic University in Jiaozuo was founded in 1909 as the Jiaozuo Railways and Mines School — China's very first institution of higher mining education. Building on that heritage, it is a national leader in mining and safety science and engineering, especially mine gas and disaster prevention. The university also excels in surveying and mapping and mechanical engineering. It maintains strong ties to China's coal and energy sectors and hosts national research platforms.
