📖 About the university

Beijing Polytechnic is a full-time public higher-vocational college sponsored by the Beijing municipal government and located in the capital's Yizhuang economic-technological development area. Founded in 1958, it was among the first independently established higher-vocational colleges in China, and in 2007 it entered the ranks of the national demonstrative higher-vocational colleges. The college is organised into around seven substantive secondary colleges, namely Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Integrated Circuits (Artificial Intelligence), Bioengineering, Economics and Management, and Art and Design, together with a School of Non-commissioned Officer Education and units for general and continuing education. As a national high-level (double-high) A-list vocational college, it is one of Beijing's flagship applied institutions, with particular strengths in mechatronics, integrated circuits and artificial intelligence, aviation and automotive engineering, and it works closely with the capital's high-technology and advanced-manufacturing enterprises. It enrols a large body of students preparing for skilled technical careers in the Beijing region. As an applied vocational college it enrols primarily domestic students and does not currently advertise a dedicated Chinese-language pathway for international applicants.
