📖 About the university

Chongqing Jiaotong University is a public university in the mountainous megacity of Chongqing, founded in 1951 and specialising in transportation infrastructure, especially bridges, tunnels and roads. In a city famous for its dramatic bridges and multi-level highways, its civil, bridge-and-tunnel and hydraulic-engineering programs are nationally strong, and it has contributed to major bridge and waterway projects across western China. The university also covers river-and-ocean engineering, vehicle engineering, transportation and management. Its campuses in Chongqing enrol a large student body and host national and provincial research platforms in mountainous-region transport. International students are welcomed for Chinese-language study and engineering degrees.
