Changsha Medical University is China's first private medical undergraduate institution, founded in 1989 and now based in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province. It gained approval to offer clinical medicine through national accreditation in 2015. The university enrols international students through its International College of Medicine and reported more than 350 international students among a full-time enrolment of over 24,000. Clinical medicine, stomatology, nursing and pharmacy are among its main fields.
