📖 About the university

Shaanxi Xueqian Normal University is a public undergraduate university in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, specializing in the training of preschool and primary teachers. It was founded in 1963 as Shaanxi Education College and was restructured and renamed to its present form in 2012, becoming a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2016. As one of the few provincial universities in China devoted primarily to early-childhood education, it plays a leading role in preparing kindergarten and primary-school teachers for Shaanxi. Its programs also extend across the humanities, sciences and foreign languages.
