Shenyang Institute of Science and Technology is a private undergraduate university in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province and the largest city in northeastern China, long a centre of heavy industry and equipment manufacturing. The institution began in 1999 as the Science and Engineering College of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology, later became the Keya College of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, and in 2016 was approved by the Ministry of Education to convert into an independent provincial private university.
