Civil Aviation Flight University of China is a public university based in Guanghan, near Chengdu in Sichuan province, founded in 1956 and administered by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. It is the country's principal institution for training airline pilots, air-traffic controllers and aviation engineers, operating its own airfields and training aircraft. Its programs cover flight technology, air-traffic management, aeronautical engineering and aviation safety. The university trains a large share of China's commercial pilots and aviation professionals.
