📖 About the university

Xi'an Peihua University is a private undergraduate university in Xi'an whose heritage dates back to 1928, when the Xi'an No. 1 Women's Vocational School was established, making it one of the oldest roots in Chinese private education. Rebuilt in 1984 as Xi'an Peihua Women's University, it became China's first modern institution dedicated to educating women, and in 2003 it was upgraded to an undergraduate university admitting both men and women. In 2007 it became the first private university in western China to gain bachelor's degree-awarding powers. The university is comprehensive, with particular strengths in accounting and finance, media, nursing and civil engineering, and it preserves a distinctive women's college reflecting its historic mission.
