📖 About the university
Chengdu Gingko College of Hospitality Management is a private undergraduate university in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province and a laid-back city famous for pandas, teahouses and cuisine, with a second campus in Nanxi, Yibin. It grew from the Gingko International Hotel Management College founded in 2002, became a bachelor-level independent college in 2004, and in 2020 was approved by the Ministry of Education to convert into a standalone private undergraduate university under its present name. The university is organised into nine schools and offers around thirty-three undergraduate programmes across six disciplinary areas, but is defined by its focus on hospitality and tourism. Its hotel management programme is a national first-class undergraduate programme, while tourism management and leisure sport are provincial first-class programmes. Its core strengths lie in hotel management, tourism management, leisure sport and culinary arts. It suits students pursuing careers in hotels, tourism, events and the wider hospitality industry, particularly in China's fast-growing service economy.

🌆 About Chengdu
Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province and the economic and cultural anchor of southwestern China, famous for its relaxed pace and teahouse culture. Home to a metropolitan population of around 21 million, it sits on a fertile plain ringed by mountains and is a gateway to Tibet and the wider southwest. The climate is humid subtropical, with mild damp winters and warm, humid, frequently overcast summers. The city is beloved for its Giant Panda Breeding Base, the ancient streets of Jinli and Kuanzhai Alley, and the nearby Dujiangyan irrigation system. Sichuan food is world-renowned for its bold, numbing spice, from bubbling hotpot to mapo tofu and dan dan noodles. An extensive metro network, two international airports, and high-speed rail make travel simple across the country. For an international student, Chengdu offers a comfortable and affordable lifestyle, strong universities, and a famously friendly, easygoing atmosphere.
