Hebei Institute of Communications is a private undergraduate university in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, specialising in media and the arts. The school was founded in 2000 and was approved as an undergraduate institution under its current name in 2007. It is one of the few independent media-focused universities in China, offering programmes across film and television, journalism and communication, music, dance, fine arts and design, and performing arts. With modern studios and production facilities spread over several campuses, it trains large numbers of broadcasters, presenters, performers and media professionals for the region.
