📖 About the university
Xuzhou Medical University is a provincial medical university in Xuzhou, northern Jiangsu Province, established in 1958 as a branch of Nanjing Medical College. It is nationally famous as the birthplace of China's first undergraduate anaesthesiology programme, and anaesthesiology remains its flagship discipline. The university is also strong in clinical medicine, pharmacy and medical laboratory science, supported by large affiliated hospitals. Its research in anaesthesia and neuroscience is well regarded across the country. International students may enrol in its English-medium clinical-medicine programme.
