📖 About the university

Hunan University of Technology in Zhuzhou is the only university in China built around packaging science and engineering, a field in which it is the acknowledged national leader. Established in its current form in 1979 and elevated to university status in 2006, it grew from the country's packaging and printing industries and hosts national teaching and research centers in the discipline. Beyond packaging, it is strong in materials, mechanical and electrical engineering, industrial design and economics, serving Zhuzhou's rail-equipment and manufacturing economy. The campus sits in the green riverside city of Zhuzhou, part of the Changsha–Zhuzhou–Xiangtan cluster. It enrolls a large student body and offers Chinese-language study and degree programs to international students.
