Hong Kong Nang Yan College of Higher Education is a private, non-profit college in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon, founded in April 1969 by the Hong Kong Buddhist Sangha Association as the Hong Kong Buddhist College, one of the earliest Buddhist-affiliated post-secondary institutions in the territory. After decades of operating as a matriculation and diploma-level college, it was approved by the Hong Kong government in April 2014 to become Hong Kong Nang Yan College of Higher Education, gaining the authority to confer four-year, full-time bachelor's degrees. The college currently offers Bachelor's degrees in Chinese and Accounting, alongside Associate Degree programmes in Business Administration, Chinese, Visual Communication Design, and Real Estate Management, together with a Diploma in Foundation Studies for Higher Education. All of its programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and the college maintains a library of roughly 200,000 items, including a substantial e-book collection, to support its academic and general-education mission. As a registered nonprofit rooted in Buddhist educational values, Nang Yan emphasises small class sizes, individual attention, scholarships and bursaries, and subsidised summer overseas internships for students.
