A station on the Baotou–Xi'an railway serving the city of Yulin in the far north of Shaanxi at the edge of the Mu Us Desert and the energy and coal region. The planned Yan'an–Yulin HSR is expected to reach it.

Yulin Yuyang Airport is about 15 km from the station. The easiest way is a taxi of around 25 minutes for about ¥40–60, or the airport shuttle bus. There is no metro in the city.
