Ying County has no metro. The station is about 20 km from the county seat, home to the famous Yingxian Wooden Pagoda; shuttle buses and taxis connect to town.

Officially opened 31 December 2024 as an intermediate station on the Datong-Xi'an high-speed railway, it serves Ying County, famed for its ancient wooden pagoda (the world's oldest and tallest surviving wooden pagoda, built in 1056).
