🚇 To & from the city centre
The station is north of Hefei in the Beicheng new town of Changfeng County, not in central Hefei. There is no metro to it yet — Hefei Metro Line 8 is expected to serve it in future — so today you arrive by bus or taxi/Didi, or take a short train hop to Hefei South, which Metro Lines 1 and 5 connect to the city centre. If your destination is central Hefei it is usually better to book straight through to 合肥南站.
A station on the Shangqiu–Hefei–Hangzhou high-speed railway, where the Shanghang line meets the Hefei–Bengbu line. The Shangqiu–Hefei section opened on 1 December 2019 and the Hefei–Huzhou section on 28 June 2020, so the line came into service in stages rather than all at once. It serves the fast-growing Beicheng new town north of Hefei and is also used as an alternative boarding point when Hefei South sells out in peak season.
