📍 Lintan · Lintan County 🏛️ 1879

📜 About & history

Zhazha Mosque is in Zhazha Village, Lintan County, Gansu, a hilltop village 3 km north of the county town. Founded in 1879 (5th year of the Qing Guangxu era) by three Hui families who had moved to the village, it covers 0.5 mu. Activities stopped during the wars of the Republican era and resumed after Hui of the Li family moved in in 1936; a three-room two-storey building and four single-storey rooms were completed in 1940. The buildings were demolished in 1958, and an earth-and-timber prayer hall and school were rebuilt in 1985 after the religious policy was restored.
