Yangjiaping Mosque stands within the Xijiao Hui Cemetery in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It was funded by Chongqing Yuya Real Estate and completed in 1992, after the old Zhongxing Road mosque in Yuzhong District was demolished to make way for a new Muslim building, so that the city would not be left without a mosque. The 100-square-metre prayer hall is carpeted in green with Quranic text in the mihrab; there is an ablution room outside, and the roof has an Arab-style green dome with a silver star and crescent.
