📜 About & history

Yangerzhuang Mosque at Yangerzhuang, Chencun Hui Township, Qiu County, was founded in 1741 (Qing Qianlong era), built with funds raised by elder Ma Da after a religious dispute between Chencun and Yangerzhuang, and has been damaged and rebuilt several times. The prayer hall and lecture hall were rebuilt in the 2nd year of the Republic; during the Cultural Revolution some buildings were demolished and only the prayer hall survived, as a storehouse. From 1981 a three-bay lecture hall, four ablution rooms and a gatehouse were rebuilt, and in 1986 a resident imam was engaged, religious life resumed and a democratic management committee was set up.
