西张清真寺
📍 Jinan · Huaiyin District 🏛️ Shunzhi era, Qing dynasty

📜 About & history

Xizhang Mosque is in Xizhang Village, Wujiabao Town, near the Yellow River dyke. Founded in the Qing Shunzhi era, it suffered repeatedly from Yellow River floods: washed away in 1855, rebuilt in 1924 and rebuilt in stone after the 1937 flood. The government, religious bodies and villagers rebuilt it in 1997-1998 as a two-storey Arab-style building on 3 mu with 770 square metres of floor space. In 2022 it was closed because of the pandemic and under renovation.
