Xiuheyan Grand Mosque

绣河沿清真大寺
📍 Lanzhou · Chengguan District 🏛️ Ming–Qing dynasty

📜 About & history

The Xiuheyan Grand Mosque is a historic congregation in the old walled city of Lanzhou, traditionally listed among the city's six great mosques of the Ming–Qing period. It takes its name from Xiuheyan, an old street near Zhangye Road and the Shuangchengmen gate area in Chengguan District. As one of the long-established urban mosques, it served the Hui merchants and families of the central old city. Its exact present-day size and status should be confirmed locally, as several old-city congregations have been rebuilt or relocated.
