📜 About & history
Xiao'an Mosque was founded in 1426 (1st year of the Ming Xuande era) by the Bai family, who settled in the village. The 1,260-square-metre complex has a main prayer hall, north and south lecture halls and a moon-watching tower; the prayer hall consists of a porch, front hall, rear hall and niche chamber. A Xuande-era censer inscribed with the Shahada was kept here until it was stolen in the late 1990s. The mosque was overhauled in 1911 and 1949, its lecture halls rebuilt in 2007 and 2012, and the prayer hall rebuilt and reopened in 2022.
