📜 About & history
Wangjia Grand Mosque is at Wangjia Shangsi, Tangwang Town, Dongxiang Autonomous County, Linxia, Gansu, 200 m north-west of the town government, and is one of the older mosques in Dongxiang. According to the Dongxiang Autonomous County Gazetteer it was founded in the early Qing; the first mosque was destroyed in war and the second was pulled down in 1958. The present buildings were rebuilt with community donations in 1982. Facing east, the complex follows the courtyard plan of traditional Chinese mosques and covers 5,525 square metres, with 1,999 square metres of buildings.
