📜 About & history
Tianfang Street Mosque in Zhoukou was founded in 1631; its original 6-mu site had over fifty rooms, including a six-bay prayer hall under glazed tiles. In 1912 it founded the Huiyuan Primary School for Hui children, which taught over 400 pupils before closing during the War of Resistance. The city government funded a rebuilding in 1981, and a new Arab-style mosque of about 500 square metres was completed in 2009.
