📜 About & history
This women's mosque on Shouliu Hutong in Xicheng District (formerly Xuanwu District), Beijing, is an independent place of prayer for Muslim women. Initiated by Min Deren, with land and a well donated by Ma Zhiqing, it was completed in 1922 (11th year of the Republic) and is a protected cultural relic of Xicheng District. Its layout follows the separation of men and women; it lies near the Niujie Mosque, and it is largely run by women, addressed as "shiniang". Non-Muslim visitors pay a 5-yuan ticket.
