📜 About & history

The Qutong Mosque is the finest mosque in Yongping County, set in Qutong village on the old trade road. The Hui presence in Qutong dates to Kublai Khan's 1253 campaign against Dali, when Muslim soldiers from Central Asia and the Arab lands settled in the area. The mosque has two courtyards and an elegant prayer hall and is a county-level protected relic.
