📜 About & history
The Women's Mosque adjoins the South Mosque in Shenyang's historic Hui quarter and serves women of the congregation for worship and religious study. Women's mosques (nvsi) are a distinctive feature of Hui Islam in northern China, and Shenyang's example grew alongside the much larger South Mosque. It functions as a dedicated women's prayer and teaching space rather than a separate grand complex. Together with the South Mosque it anchors community religious life on Nan Qingzhen Road.
