Qingjing Mosque (also called the Ashab Mosque) was built in the early 11th century (around 1009 CE) in the coastal city of Quanzhou, where Islam arrived through maritime trade in the Tang dynasty. It was a central gathering place for local Muslims during the Song and Yuan periods and remained an active mosque despite Ming-era trade restrictions.
