📜 About & history

Qinggang County Mosque is on the east side of South Second Street off Jianshe Street, Qinggang Town, Qinggang County, Heilongjiang. It was built in 1920 at the initiative of Imam Zhang Pengyong as a thatched earth-and-timber house with a ridged roof. After it collapsed in 1965 when its foundations sank, the county civil affairs department funded its rebuilding as a three-room earth-and-timber single-storey building. It covers about 0.2 mu with 72 square metres of buildings, including a 21-square-metre prayer hall. Led by Imam Li Shuhai, it serves more than 100 local Hui of the Gedimu tradition.
