📜 About & history
Qingdao's Muslim community formed after the Jiaozhou–Jinan railway opened; the first mosque was set up in 1929 at Changzhou Road with the support of Hui general and then-mayor Ma Fuxiang. Ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympic sailing regatta held in Qingdao, the city allocated land on Tong'an Road for a large modern mosque, completed in 2006 and opened in September 2007. The old Changzhou Road mosque was then retired. The new mosque blends Chinese and Arab architecture, with white walls, green tiles and a golden dome, and a roughly 500 m² domed prayer hall on the upper floor.

- Line 2 Tong'an Road （同安路）
Numerous city buses stop along Tong'an Road near the mosque; alight at a Tong'an Road stop.
About 20 min by taxi from Qingdao Railway Station, or take metro Line 2 to Tong'an Road.
About 20–30 min by metro Line 2 from the old town / Zhongshan Road area to Tong'an Road station.
