Nanying Mosque

南营清真寺
📍 Langfang · Langfang Economic and Technological Development Zone 🏛️ 1424

📜 About & history

Nanying Mosque was built in 1424 with funds from Muslims of the Qian and Ma families who had migrated from Zhuxian Town in Henan. Built of blue brick with yellow and green tiles, its hall has four upturned corners and carved gilt Qur'anic inscriptions inside. In June 1900 its imam, Wang Hongdu, led local Muslims in resisting the Eight-Nation Alliance and protecting the village, and villagers presented the plaque "Lianhui tongfang" in thanks. In October 2020 it was named a Hebei model collective for ethnic unity and progress.
