📜 About & history
Nanguan Mosque was built in 1934 in the southern quarter of old Xining. Unlike the palace-style mosques of the city, it is rendered almost entirely in white in a pure Arabic idiom, with domes and slender minarets. Its clean, photogenic silhouette has earned it a reputation as one of the most beautiful mosques in China. The total site covers about 3,100 square metres and it remains an active neighbourhood mosque.
🕌 Prayer & visiting
Five daily prayers and Friday congregational prayer are observed by the surrounding Hui community.
