📜 About & history
Originally built in 1735, the mosque was destroyed by fire in 1896 and rebuilt the following year, then enlarged in 1924 as a brick-and-timber complex. It was designated a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit in 1998 and anchors the Hui community of Menyuan county town.

🚇 How to reach the mosque
In central Haomen town; walkable from the Menyuan bus station or a short taxi.
From Xining's Dongguan take a Menyuan-bound bus north; the mosque is central in Haomen.
Menyuan (Haomen) is about 100 km north of Xining across the Daban Mountain, roughly 2 hours by bus; the mosque is in the county-town core.
Menyuan is famous for its summer rapeseed-flower fields; halal food throughout the county town. Mandarin spoken.
