📜 About & history

Maji Old Mosque in Maji Subdistrict, Linxia County, is a courtyard-style mosque on a 2-mu site. On the west stands a three-bay brick-and-concrete prayer hall with a gable-and-hip roof, grey tiles, moulded ridge ornaments and painted decoration; four-bay side wings on the north and south serve as lodgings and classrooms, and on the east are the ablution hall, a storeroom and a two-storey sedan-roofed minaret. Its congregation follows the Huasi order and belongs to the Duomu Grand Mosque as a "shaoma" branch mosque. The mosque has the Daxia River to the south and the Lanzhou-Langmusi road to the north.
