📜 About & history
Madian Mosque, at Sanyi Brigade on the Wanhe Farm in Anqing, serves the local Hui community and was first built in the early Tongzhi era of the Qing dynasty. In 1853 Imam Ma Dishun led Hui families to settle here, forming a community mainly of the Ma, Ding, Wang and Si clans. The mosque was damaged during the Cultural Revolution and, after 1979, restored with two government grants totalling 12,000 yuan.
