Laocheng Town Mosque (Shenqiu)

Laocheng Town Mosque is at 51 Huimin Street, Beiguan, Laocheng Town, Shenqiu County, Zhoukou, Henan. Founded in 1863 (2nd year of the Qing Tongzhi era), it serves the Hui of Chengguan and Liufu towns. It has a three-bay prayer hall on the west side, a three-room lecture hall and imam's quarters on the north and a two-room ablution house on the east, all brick-and-timber tiled buildings. It has been renovated four times; past imams include Old Xu of Taikang, Ma Xixian of the town and Mu Shuilin of Cao County, Shandong, and the current imam is Ma Xiaosheng, a native of the town.
