📜 About & history

Lanxi County Mosque, on the west side of Nanmenli in Lanxi Town, was founded in 1912 on the initiative of Imam Wu Junming with funds raised by local Hui; it began as five grey-brick rooms with crescent-patterned tiles. After part of it collapsed in 1967, it was rebuilt as four grey-brick bungalows, and in 1991, with help from the county government, it was rebuilt in brick and precast concrete to its present size. It has nearly 300 square metres of buildings, including a prayer hall of over 80 square metres, and serves more than 200 Hui of the Gedimu tradition.
